Dear Blog:
Sorry I haven't written in a while. It's not you, it's me. I've been busy. I've been trying to enjoy the summer. I've been working. You know. Busy busy busy.
It's not like I don't think about you. I do. It's just that sometimes, I go to other blogs instead.
Wait. Don't get angry. I'm not saying you're a bad blog. I'm just saying that other blogs, you know, they get updated, and all I have to do is read them. Some of them have pictures. Sometimes, I see myself in those pictures.
It's not a big deal, you know. Nobody reads you anyway. They know that months can go by without you being updated. People know that and they don't need to come by.
That's what those dates are for at the top of the entry: to let people know just how fresh (or stale, in your case) the content is. Look at your last date. That was over a month ago!
I'm not saying it's your fault: I'm just saying you shouldn't be surpised when you don't get the attention you want. You have to ask yourself: do you really want any attention? Because if you did, I think, you might update yourself more often.
Look at your statistics. How many page views did you get last week? 4. 4! Frankly, I'm surprised it was that many.
What? You need my help? That's crazy. I'm just one man. There are many things to do in life, and keeping you fresh and interesting is pretty difficult. Especially with you complaining all the time.
You've got to make me want to help you, and your "go for months without updating" strategy isn't helping.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get angry. I'm just so tired. I've been so busy lately.
Let's try to work this out.
